“This new partnership prepares a solid pathway for our fixed-wing graduates to launch their commercial aviation career with a premier regional airline in the country,” Wyatt said. The goal of the strategic partnership is to create newer, industry-leading career options for pilots, according to SUU President Scott Wyatt. “Through the new partnership, SkyWest may provide qualifying SUU student pilots up to $10,000 tuition reimbursement to help on their way to becoming one of SkyWest’s more than 4,000 professional pilots,” said Nikki Koontz, SUU assistant director of marketing. George-based SkyWest, Inc., will also offer qualifying student pilots support through a program that features a tuition reimbursement program. SUU’s partnership with SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of St. Southern Utah University’s flight program has received a “premier” endorsement from one of North America’s leading air service providers.
